Manchester played a lot of extra baseball this week, beating Scottsdale 8-4 in 15 innings on 8/24 and Montreal 2-1 in 16 innings on 8/28. The Scottsdale win was capped with a walkoff Grand Slam by Matt Williams. Th 94er's Matt Williams crossed the 60 HR mark this week and Ventura's Juan Samuel reached the 20 triple plateau for the Vagabonds. End Of Regular Season League Website - www.stratomaticnation.com/sombb/1994auction/1994/standings1.html Highlights: Phoenix says "NOT SO FAST" to Richmond, reversing a 4 game sweep worth of momentum and beating the Stone Gloves in Richmond 8-4 to claim the final playoff spot in the 1 game elimination match up. Steve Trachsel gave up a 4 run 1st inning to Richmond before shutting them down for the remainder of the game on the way to a complete game win for the Pine Tar. The win leveled his season record at 14-14 and was supported at the plate by Paul O'Neill who drove in 3 runs for the Pine Tar.
