Beaumont fans are wondering if Jackie is getting too old. He's 14 for 83 and mostly off his card. which is a .311/.413/.505 card so go figure. Right now he's .169/.295/.241 hopefully he "gets right" real soon.
He and Klu .326/.407/.602 but for me so far .220/.314/.459 are 300 and 400 pts below their OPS. These are my two studs....gotta get moving and lead that team.

Ouch! 2-8 on current 17-game road trip! 7 more games to go and the prospects are dimming already! Well, at least Ernie Banks should feel right at home! Don't worry guys! We'll get 'em next year!

I thought this team of mine was going to be one of my worst since we have started yet somehow they are in first. I fully expect the bottom to fall out at any minute.

Wow! I did not realize this, but the Indianapolis Indians just completed 63 consecutive days played. And held their own very nicely, finishing that stretch 5 games above .500. Then, after a day off, we go 2-4. Go figure. I guess the day off got them out of their rhythmn!

Wow! I did not realize this, but the Indianapolis Indians just completed 63 consecutive days played. And held their own very nicely, finishing that stretch 5 games above .500. Then, after a day off, we go 2-4. Go figure. I guess the day off got them out of their rhythmn! I am going to try and create a good schedule file for this league. It will some time, but should not be too difficult if the games are in blocks and everyone gets the same days off. I was thinking 6 or 7 game and then an off day, or 12-14 and then an off day. I will also bake in a three day break about game 100. I will have this ready for 1955 opening day. |

The Stars have 5 games to go and all on the road - including the last 3 at #3 Beaumont.
The first issue of Sports Illustrated was published in August 1954. Wonder if we can get on the cover if we somehow manage to make the playoffs?
