It's great to see Hazle playing well again! I started playing APBA baseball with the '57 season and I thought he had the potential to be one of the greatest ever! But what does an elementary school kid know?

Looking at the way the season is trending, I need to ask: When can we start the new draft for the 1960's ?!?

Are you suggesting we skip 58&59?

In a great comeback, the Stars are only 3 games out of 10th place!
Don't look back, something may be gaining on you...

Time to start looking at 1958 and selecting our keepers. Only about a week of games left.

Cannot complain about a 4th place finish. This could be our year. I feel like the 1906 White Sox. The Mud Hens have a .237 team batting average and live by wining low scoring games. If my pitchers come through this team can scratch out a run when needed.

It would be a tough break for Beaumont if the Hens knock them off. Beaumont single handedly eliminated Denver by sweeping them the last week of the season, helping Toledo get the #4 seed.

Surprising start to postseason for the Lookouts! I was feeling pretty pessimistic. But, hey, just to satisfy those fears, Roberto Clemente gets hurt for 10 games... sigh.
Go Lookouts!!

SPECIAL RECOGNITION!!!
Mike for managing the Royals from 9th in 1956 to 3rd in 1957, a 15 win improvement. Bill for managing the Lookouts from an 11th place finish in 1956 to 2nd in 1957, a 25 win improvement. Paul for managing the Exporters from an 12th place finish in 1956 to 1st in 1957, a 36 win improvement.
I am sure it doesn't offset the Exporter's early playoff exit, but it was an amazing turnaround, congrats Paul! In any other season Mike or Bill would get manager of the year hands down, but this year it belongs to Paul.
