100 RBI's for Campenella after 110 games, on pace for 140, 38 HRs on pace for 53.
Charleston is reduced to being a Triple Crown spoiler, with Richie Ashburn now batting .386 and in the league lead.
Toledo is getting some offense to match Mike Garcia's pitching, in the form of a 21 game active hitting streak for Yogi Berra. 14 of those games are multi-hit games for Yogi.
Kansas City is continuing to dominate on the mound, with a team ERA of 3.02, .70 points better than 10 of the 12 teams. The Blues are being led by Robin Roberts and Bob Lemon, both with sub 2.50 ERA in a combined 48 starts (20 CGs).

The Amarillo Gold Sox are doing their best John Wayne imitation and trying to ride off into the sunset with the regular season title. AGS has a 7.5 game lead and has won 10 out of their last 12.
With the season 3/4 complete, all but one team (1950's 97 win team and World Series runner up Beaumont) is within 5 games of the final playoff spot.

Highlights:
The Mud Hens are rallying going into the dog days of August, with Mike Garcia picking up his league leading 20th victory!
Eau Claire and New Orleans teamed up to slow down down the Gold Sox, putting Amarillo on a 5 game losing streak. Amarillo is streaky though, they can just as easily put up an 7+ game winning streak, which they've done 3 times already this season.

Charlestons Richie Ashburn is making a run at .400, now batting .399 and leading the league with 75 SBs.
Indianapolis Ellis Kinder has the Rolaids Relief award all but locked up with 32 saves, 11 more than the next closest reliever.

Highlights:
In an exciting race for the last playoff position, Denver couldn't quite close the gap on Toledo, the Mud Hens gave the Bears a chance going 5-5 over the last 10, but the Bears also went 5-5 and came up 1 game short.

Congratulations to the playoff teams (in seeded order):
(1) Amarillo
(2) Louisville
(3) Hollywood
(4) Toledo

Amarillo and Louisville are making repeat playoff appearances from 1950.

Indianapolis Roy Campanella easily led the league in 2 of the 3 triple crown categories, HR and RBI, and ended up 3rd in AVG, as well as 2nd in 2B.
Charlestons Richie Ashburn just missed batting .400, short by 3 hits with 266. Ashburn also led the league in SB with 85.
Mud Hens Mike Garcia finished the year with 27 wins, 5 more than the next closest pitcher.
Indians Ellis Kinder led the league in saves by a very large margin with 39, 14 more than the next best.
Kansas City's Bob Lemon ended up with the leagues lowest ERA (for qualifiers) at 2.64, followed closely by the Gold Sox Ewell Blackwell and the Blues Robin Roberts.
