: It looks like the 6 playoff teams are decided, it's just a matter of determining the seeding over the final week of the season. Phoenix is the first team to clinch their division, but 2nd place Albuquerque has the inside track on the top wild card spot from the West. Louisville's George Foster had a big week, building leads in the HR and RBI race thanks to a 5 HR and 15 RBI week, leading both categories with 54 HRs and 137 RBI. Foster also had his fourth grand slam of the season, pulling even with Albuquerque's Dave Parker. Syracuse's Willie Stargell has picked up enough plate appearances in his platoon role to qualify for the batting title and is now in a tie with Toledo's Jose Cruz, both hitting .334.
