All teams will be on full rest, all injuries will be cleared. ALSO sometimes HAL does weird things with rest for SP's so if you want to send me per game starters, I will set them up for you.

Semifinals Games 1 and 2Standings - latorrer0.tripod.com/sombb/1960kp/1964ps/standings1.htmlHighlights: Toledo vs. Vancouver – series tied 1-1 Juan Marichal and Don Drysdale locked up in a great game to open the North semifinals, both pitching complete games. The teams entered the 9th tied at 2, when Vancouver’s Dick Green blasted a 1 out walk-off solo HR to give the Mounties the win. Drysdale whiffed 11 and walked none to earn the W. Game 2 also went into the 9th inning tied, this time knotted at 6. The Hens had better results in this game thanks to a 2 out 2 run HR by Dick Allen. Chris Short was able to strand Willie Davis in the bottom of the 9th to even up the series at 1. Phoenix vs. Louisville - series tied 1-1 The seasons Cy Young candidates, Sandy Koufax and Joe Horlen, faced off in game 1, and the game surprisingly ended up as a slugfest. The Colonels knocked out Horlen in the first inning, scoring 5 runs and sending him to the bench recording only 1 out for the Giants. Louisville added 8 more in the 2nd and ended up with a 13-9 win. The teams combined for 6 HRs in the game, with the Colonel's Bill White launching 2 3 run HRs driving in 6. Game 2 was the opposite of the 1st game, with Phoenix jumping out to a 3 run lead in the 1st thanks to HRs by Eddie Mathews and Billy Williams. Louisville tied the game in the 7th thanks to a squeeze play off the bat of starter Milt Pappas, but in the 8th the Giants struck back and went ahead for good on wild pitch by RP Hal Woodeshick allowing Jim Fregosi to score the eventual winning run. Semifinals Games 3, 4 and 5Standings - latorrer0.tripod.com/sombb/1960kp/1964ps/standings1.htmlHighlights: Toledo vs. Vancouver – wins 4-1 The series traveled to Toledo and the Mud Hens took full advantage of the home cooking, winning all 3 games and upsetting Vancouver to move on to the finals. The 3 games were decided by a total of 4 runs with games 3 and 5 ending in walk off victories for Toledo. Game 3 turned the series momentum over to Toledo when Vancouver surrendered a 5-1 lead in the 9th when Dick Allen crushed a game winning grand slam to deliver the win for the home town fans. Game 5 went extra innings and ended on an RBI single by Jim Landis to break a 2-2 tie in the 10th. Phoenix vs. Louisville – Louisville leads 3-2 The Colonels and the Giants played 3 close games as well, also decided by a total of 4 runs. Louisville took game 3 5-4, led by a hot day at the plate by Tony Oliva's 4 RBIs. The Giants bounced back to tie the series 2-2 in game 4, jumping out to an early lead and fighting off a late rally by Louisville to secure a 4-3 win. Harmon Killebrew drove in 2 runs and Barney Schultz pitched the final 2 scoreless inning to earn the save. The Colonels took the home field advantage back in game 5 defeating the Giants 4-2 on a complete game shutout by Sandy Koufax, who allowed 4 hits and struck out 9. Semifinals Game 6Standings - latorrer0.tripod.com/sombb/1960kp/1964ps/standings1.htmlHighlights: Phoenix vs. Louisville – Louisville wins 4-2 Louisville and Phoenix both rallied in the 9th inning of game 6, with both teams getting clutch 2 run HRs in the final stanza of a terrific contest. Phoenix trailed 4-2 going into the top of the 9th and were down to their last out when Harmon Killebrew blasted a HR to tie the game at 4-4, and giving the Giants life. The Colonels wouldn’t be out done by Killer and responded with their own heroics by 1964 HR champ Felix Mantilla, driving in the GW runs on a big fly of his own to seal the 6-4 victory. It was Mantilla’s first HR of the playoffs, and it came at a critical time, Killebrew did everything he could to push the Giants to the next round, smashing 4 HRs and knocking in 7 in the 6 game series. Congratulations to Phoenix and Vancouver on a great season! Toledo and Louisville played to a 6-6 record during the regular season, with home field advantage providing each team an edge, 4-2 at home. Finals Games 1 and 2Standings - latorrer0.tripod.com/sombb/1960kp/1964ps/standings1.htmlHighlights: Toledo vs. Louisville – Louisville leads 2-0 The Colonels and Hens opened up the finals with a great match-up on the mound, 20+ game winners Juan Marichal against Sandy Koufax. Toledo struck first, getting to Koufax in the first taking a 1 run lead on a 2 out by Johnny Callison. Louisville returned the early offense in the bottom of the inning scoring twice to take the lead, the second run coming on a base hit by Brooks Robinson. Toledo was able to even the score in the 3rd on Lou Brock's base running after being walked, but once again Louisville answered in the bottom of the inning, with Felix Mantilla slamming a solo HR. The Colonels bats kept firing adding a run in the 5th and 4 more in the 7th to open up the game, 3 of the runs driven in on a bases loaded double by Zoilo Versalles. Koufax recorded the W and is now 3-0 in the post season. Game two started of with an equally good pair of arms, 18 game winners Chris Short and Milt Pappas. The Hens once again pushed a run across the plate in the top of the 1st to take a short lived lead with an RBI from Dick Allen. Louisville again responded in the bottom of the inning with an RBI from Felix Mantilla. The Colonels built a 2 run lead with runs in the 3rd and 4th and had the momentum until the 6th when Toledo came to the plate and posted their first crooked number of the finals, notching 3 runs, capped by a 2 R HR by Callison. Before Toledo could enjoy the lead, Louisville once again matched the Hens, scoring 3 runs of their own in the bottom if the 6th to regain the lead for good, batting around, including a 2 R HR by Robinson. Finals Games 3, 4, and 5Standings - latorrer0.tripod.com/sombb/1960kp/1964ps/standings1.htmlHighlights: Toledo vs. Louisville – Louisville wins 4-1 Louisville rode the momentum that they carried for the opening pair of games and scored 3 runs in the top of the first to take the early lead in game 3, which they were able to build on throughout the game. Felix Mantilla had a sacrifice fly and Boog Powell launched a 2 R HR to help the Colonels off to a 3-0 lead. Toledo battled back and was able to draw within 2 runs a couple of times during the game, but Louisville put the game out of reach in the 5th with a pair of RBIs from Mantilla and Powell once again. Bob Veale pitched a 7 hitter with 12 Ks for the win. Toledo faced elimination in game 4, and wouldn’t give up without a fight. The Hens fell behind early but battled back to take the lead in the 4th on back to back RBI hits by Tim McCarver and Jerry Adair for a 3-2 advantage, and stretched open the lead in the 7th on a grand slam by Don Lock to take a 7-2 lead to secure the win. Toledo was able to hand Sandy Koufax his 1st loss of the post season in support of a strong 10 strikeout outing from Juan Marichal. Being down 3-0 was more than Toledo could recover from as Louisville clinched the championship in game 5. The Colonels paired together back to back innings with crooked numbers in the 5th and 6th to take the lead, scoring 6 runs, topped off by a 2 run HR by Tony Oliva. Milt Pappas whiffed 10 and allowed 7 hits in the CG victory.
