Looks like Toledo found its #$@&* offense. The Stars just dropped 4 games in a row to them, including an 18-3 drubbing.
Our only excuse is that we had 5 guys out injured by the end (of the 13th inning) in that last game.
*sigh*

The Indians are on the warpath! We are aiming high, shooting for solid mediocrity and a .500 record! Finally Rush starts pitching. Kinder may have the Rolaids award sewn up, but 6 blown saves (and a whopping 15 by the team as a whole!) marks the difference between also-ran and contending for a playoff spot.

Hey Rob, I'm hoping this will be my first time in the playoffs offline (and I was not paying attention before).
Question: How many days' rest do the pitchers get, between the end of the season and the start of the playoffs?

Gotta love the 2 pinch-hit HR by Charlie Keller, one in each game -- especially when he only hit 2 HR all season!

In a startling finish the Toledo Mud Hens staged a comeback then held on to win over the Amarillo Gold Sox by a score of 3 to 1 at Yankee Stadium. Toledo scored the decisive runs in a big 9th inning scoring 3 runs on 2 hits. After two were out Jim Delsing initiated the scoring spurt when he drew a walk. Bobby Adams followed and he lined a base-hit. Birdie Tebbetts then doubled. Chico Carrasquel followed next and he reached on an error. The teams had been locked in a scoreless duel until the 7th inning.

I knee the Hens were in trouble with 3 games at home where we have trouble scoring. The Gold Sox proved to be too much.

Congrats to the Colonels on a great series! Good luck against a great Amarillo team in the finals.
