All teams will be on full rest, all injuries will be cleared. ALSO sometimes HAL does weird things with rest for SP's so if you want to send me per game starters, I will set them up for you.

Game one was a 12 inning contest decided on a single swing of the bat in the 12th by Johnny Callison. On top of the tough defeat, Buffalo lost starting catcher Johnny Edwards for the post season due to injury. In game 2, Portland scored 2 runs on 3 hits is support of a complete game shutout from Bob Moose to secure a 2-0 win. The Bisons had plenty of chances, leaving 11 runners on base in the loss. Tidewater vs. Louisville - LOU leads 2-0 Louisville came out on top in both games at home in the opening games of the South playoffs in 2 very competitive games, 5-3 and 3-2 victories for the Colonels. Carl Yastrzemski and Reggie Jackson carried the Colonels offense, each hitting a HR, driving in 2 runs and scoring a run. Louisville kept the momentum going in game 2, scoring twice in the bottom of the first to take the early lead. Tidewater had opportunities in just about every inning to take back the lead, notching 11 hits, but only able to push 2 runs across the plate in the 3-2 loss. The offense for the Colonels centered around Duke Sims and Tony Oliva who combined for all 3 runs scored and all 3 RBIs. Semifinals Games 3, 4, and 5Standings - www.stratomaticnation.com/sombb/1960kp/1968ps/standings.htmlHighlights: Buffalo vs. Portland – POR wins 4-1 Buffalo battled back in game 3 to earn a win on a walkoff base hit by Bobby Bonds, but wasn't able to keep up with Portland in games 4 and 5 as the Beavers closed out the series 4 games to 1. Bill Freehan and Johnny Callison led the way at the plate for Portland, both driving in 3 runs and combining for 14 hits in the 5 games. On the mound, the Beavers got 2 quality starts from Mudcat Grant, who threw 14 innings in his 2 outings, allowing just 13 hits. Tidewater vs. Louisville - LOU wins 4-1 In a mirrored set of games, Tidewater tried to turn the momentum in game 3, chalking up their only victory of the series thanks to a complete game 4 hit shutout from Denny Lemaster. Games 4 and 5 went the same way as games 1 and 2, with Louisville booking one sided victories, 7-3 and 5-1. Duke Sims was the MVP of the series, recording an 18.94 RC27 in 5 games. Sims hit 3 HRs, scored 6 runs, and drove in 5 while batting .400. Sam McDowell and Ray Washburn each registered 2 victories for the Colonels. Finals Games 1 and 2Standings - www.stratomaticnation.com/sombb/1960kp/1968ps/standings.htmlHighlights: Louisville vs. Portland – POR leads 2-0 Louisville and Portland play to great games to start the World Series, with Portland picking up back to back 1 run victories over the Colonels. In game 1, Louisville took a 4-2 lead into the bottom of the 7th, only to have the Beavers plate 4 runs on an error, 2 hits and 3 walks, with the GW run being driven in by Brant Alyea. Louisville rallied in the 9th, closing the game to 1 run, but fell short when Boog Powell struck out with the tying run, Tony Oliva on 2nd base. Game 2 was tied after 9 innings after a bottom of the 9th inning rally by Portland to tie the game at 6-6. Bill Freehan doubled in Jack Hiatt to knot the score, The Beavers kept the momentum and scored the tie breaking run in the bottom of the 10th, an RBI base hit from Willie Mays. Mays was 5-5 on the day, scoring 3 runs, driving in 3, including 2 HRs. They are now tied with Louisville and Denver with 2 titles each through 1968. Game 3 saw Portland rally for 5 runs in the final 3 innings to post a 7-3 win. The Colonels had a 3-2 lead after 6 innings, but could not hold off the Beavers offense in the late innings. Bob Miller picked up his 3rd win of the post season in relief for Portland. Game 4 went into overtime, with the Colonels fighting off elimination in 11 innings. Louisville's Sam McDowell pitched a strong 8 innings but allowed 2 runs in the 9th on a 2 out HR to Don Lock. The Colonels were able to battle back in the 11th, scoring the winning run on a 2 out single by Duke Sims. In the clinching game of the series, Willie Mays led the way at the plate for Portland, smashing a HR and a triple, driving in 3 runs and scoring 2 on the way to another come from behind victory, 8-4. The HR was Mays 6th of the post season, finishing with 10 RBI. Bob Miller logged his 4th win of the playoffs, pitching 3 2/3 innings of scoreless baseball. Miller pitched 13 innings in the post season, with a 0.00 ERA and 1.36 WHIP.
